Catalina Island - Green Pleasure Pier

The Green Pleasure Pier is located in Avalon Harbor, jutting out near Crescent Avenue and Catalina Avenue. The pier is painted bright green which is why it is named the Green Pier, and is a great place to stroll and enjoy the harbor breeze and views, and grab a bite to eat. The Visitor Information Center is located right at the pier entrance and has information to assist you in finding accommodations, activities, amd transportation. Casual dining on the pier includes Eric's which has tacos & burgers or Avalon Seafood at the end of the pier for fish platters, shrimp cocktails, tacos, hot dogs, and burgers. Keep in mind that you are on Catalina Island and on the pier, so the prices are a bit pricier than what you usually will see on the mainland.

Green Pier Entrance

The Green Pier is also the central location for many rentals and activities. Pedal boats and kayaks can be rented here as well as motor boats, fishing gear like rods, reels, and bait for purchase, snorkeling gear, and full diving gear for scuba diving. There are PADI scuba certification classes available here, too. Land , Sea, and Zip Line Adventures are available for purchase on the pier as well as Parasailing and tubing adventures. Access to the Shoreboats (aka Water Taxis) is also available from the pier. Just look for the walkways leading down to the water. The cost is just under $5 back to your boat or other locations within the harbor.
