San Pedro Bike Path

San Pedro has a little bike path around the Cabrillo Beach that extends from the North side of the Parking lot near Shoshonean Rd down towards the Bath House and out to the Pier. You are allowed to ride your bike on the Cabrillo Pier, just watch out for people who are casting their fishing lines overhead. The distance from the top to the beginning of the pier is about 6 tenths of a mile, making a little bike path, but is is a nice place to take your kids to ride that is next to a safe beach. The path is concrete for most of the way until the point where the parking lot that is accessible next to the Cabrillo Bath House is, then it becomes an asphalt trail.

The picture below provides an image of the path along the parking lot. Once past the lifeguard tower, the start of the pier will be visible. Make the left on your bike onto the pier and continue out to check out the great views of the harbor and the water from this location.

The map of the bike path below shows the start and end at the Cabrillo Pier. There is also another section that goes past the Bath House for about 400 feet where you can access the wooden footpath to the Tide Pools. To get to the Cabrillo Marina, if you pedal out to Shoshonean Road, there is a Bike Lane that will take you the 3 tenths of a mile to get to The Plaza at Cabrillo Marina, Whalers Walk, and the California Yacht Marina.
