Redondo Beach

The pier at Redondo beach offers shopping, fish markets, the fun factory arcade and carnival rides and an International Boardwalk. It's a great place to watch the boats sail by. You can fish off of the pier without a fishing license. There are plenty of places to eat. The beach on the South side of the Pier is a long stretch of white sand with beautiful water and surf to play in and enjoy. Volleyball nets are available in the summer and there plenty of places to grab something to eat and bring back to the beach to eat. Lots of outdoor showers and plenty of clean restrooms.

Eateries on the pier include Tony's on the pier for jazz and blues music or El Torito for margaritas, chips and salsa and some great meal combos! Barney's Beanery recently opened a location at the Pier as well with great upstairs views of Palos Verdes and Redondo Beach surf while dining. There is nothing quite like dinner at sunset on the pier. Less expensive fare is available too like Hot Dog On A Stick or the Portside Cafe or Charlie's for fish 'n' chips. Many places with less expensive prices take Cash Only. While there are ATMs at the pier, it might be a good idea to bring cash with you for eating. The pier in Redondo has got it all, from postcards to souvenirs to Redondo Beach labeled clothing to pearls.

You can rent boats at the pier to go for a cruise around Kings Harbor or walk around the pier and shop, eat, or go to the Fun Factory. It's a real arcade with a Tilt-A-Whirl ride indoors. Don't eat too much before getting on!
