Long Beach

Long Beach has a lot of great activities to pick from such as the beaches at Belmont Shore, the Belmont Veteran's Memorial Pier, the Queen Mary, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and The Pike. The beaches have a nice bike path on the sand along the ocean where you can ride your bike from Belmont Shore to Shoreline Village and beyond or you can also rollerblade or run or walk along the path. Rentals are available at Alfredo's Beach Club with several locations right along the beach path. They have umbrellas, volleyballs, beach chairs, kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boats, jet skis, roller blades, bikes, and surreys (large multi-person bikes with a cover) for rent from morning until 6:00 pm. Parking lots for the beach are located along Ocean Blvd at Shoreline Village, Belmont Plaza (1 Bennett Ave - where the Olympic Pool is located), Laverne and Ocean and 54th Place and Ocean Blvd. Current rates for the Long Beach shoreline parking lots may be found here: Long Beach Parking.

Dining and strolling on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore is an extremely popular activity as there are many eateries and many shops located here. Visiting Shoreline Village and walking along the harbor is also a great time. The famous Queen Mary is also located here with plenty of tours, onboard shopping, dining, a spa, and a hotel. The Aquarium of the Pacific is also near Shoreline Village with wonderful exhibits of the marine life and animals living in our oceans. Also nearby is the The Pike - a fantastic mall with a movie theater and numerous places to eat and shop as well.

Shoreline Village is across the way from the Shoreline Aquatic Park and has many more shops and dining opportunities as well right at the waters edge. There are plenty of other activities as well - Pelican Pier Pavilion has a beautiful carousel and many games like skeeball, air hockey, and video games where you can win tickets and exchange them for great prizes! There are several places to get on a boat and take a cruise around the harbor for an hour or so or sign up for a class on how to sail. Of course, there is always the option of just strolling out along the walkways and enjoying the beautiful harbor, boats, and ocean breeze as well.
